Olga & a Recipe!

Hey beings of a supernatural nature! How are you all?

It is time for another Box Blogs!!!! Cue funky theme music!
This week Big Box Blogs will contain a recipe and some garble I decided to write with it!

This week has been a week of excitement and sadness. It has been one of thoughs loooong weeks that just don't seem to end. It hasnt been the greatest of weeks but I am glad for college. As soon as i get on the college bus i have my best friend Geraint who just constantly makes me laugh and cheers me up and the girls who constantly make me laugh! Everybody is so mature and even if we argue its forgotten about the next day. It is a nice enviroment to be in.

On the subject of college i have recently become Olga the Russian Ninja Spy, i am with the ferret mafia and i happen to be from the wood, geddit? (if you dont then read a few box blogs ago, i live by some woods!)
I took the Opportunity to become a ninja as soon as the opportunity arose and so far nothing has gone wrong so thats good.

I am also getting a tattoo on saturday of an owl it will be placed on my wrists and i am quite looking forward to getting it. Unfortunately, i will have to give up being a Russian Ninja Spy just because i will be so easy to spot.
'Hello, police my husband has been killed!'
'Okay, describe the attacker'
'She wore black, has a bad russian accent and an owl tattoo on her wrist'
'Don't worry ma'am we have the culprit in custody'
Obviously thats not gonna be a real life situation because my wrists will be covered up and being a ninja i won't talk, but you get the jist.

This week i decided that i didn't want to use a song of the week or a photo of the week, but a recipe of the week! I decided that, because this is the first recipe of The Big Box that it will be my favourite and an old classic and lets face it, being one of the easiest things to make! Who doesn't love a good shortbread.

So this is the first of
THE BIG BOX BLOG RECIPES!!!!
This week...Shortbread
Firstly, preheat the oven to gas mark 5
You will need 4oz of butter
2oz of sugar
annd 6
oz of plain flour
Add the sugar to the bowl of butter and beat it together, add the flour and stir until its a thick paste.
I place the mixture into a pyrex bowl and cut the mixture into fingers

You can stick the mixture into a square cake tin or a normal oven tray (just make sure you foil the tray) and you can make what ever design you like out of it, i just prefer rectangles as they are perfect for tea dipping.

You are supposed to leave it to rest so if you want to, put it into the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
I don't do this just because i know what i like so i put the mixture straight into the preheated oven and let it cook for 20-30 minutes or until it is golden brown and crunchy.

Let the short bread cool and then enjoy! I say to taste the mixture before cooking it and then you can add more sugar or butter to your taste, also it doesn't matter if you use self raising flower, change sugar or use margerines aslong as you like the way it tastes then its fine for you.

I'm going to go now, thanks for reading everybody
Toodle loo!!! See you all next week!
